THE HOUSE

A house that keeps telling its story.

KerJardin is a 19th-century Breton stone house, thoughtfully modernised without losing its character.

For more than 25 years, we have kept coming back for the light over the bay, the coastal paths and long evenings in the garden. Over time, the house has gained modern comforts such as underfloor heating and a heat pump, while its old stone walls still keep it naturally cool in summer.

Outside, stone walls, hydrangeas, the terrace with its red parasol and the barbecue invite you to live outdoors. Inside, bright rooms, an open kitchen and the wood-burning stove make the house feel relaxed, warm and easy.

IDEAS FOR YOUR DAYS

Plenty of possibilities.
Five ideas to get you started.

IDEA 1

Morgat & the caves

Stroll around the harbour, take a boat trip to the sea caves, enjoy a crêpe on the promenade – then return to the garden in the evening.

IDEA 2

Cap de la Chèvre

A panoramic walk through heather and granite, followed by a swimming cove if the mood and weather are right.

IDEA 3

Camaret & Pen-Hir

Studios and the harbour, then on to the spectacular cliffs at Pointe de Pen-Hir.

IDEA 4

Quimper

Old town, market, little streets and a day with a little more city than beach.

IDEA 5

Île Vierge & small coves

A day for viewpoints, quiet paths and discovering another side of the peninsula.

Sea view at Chez Germaine by Plage de Veryac’h

OUR TIP

Chez Germaine.
Crêpes with a sea view.

Just above Plage de Veryac’h: galettes, crêpes and a wonderful view across the bay. It is the kind of place where lunch easily turns into another half-hour simply watching the sea.

OUR FAVOURITE PLACES

Eat well.
The way we like it.

Four places we genuinely like — from simple fresh fish to a slightly more refined dinner by the harbour.

Große Fisch- und Meeresfrüchteplatte im Le Styvel
CAMARET-SUR-MER

Le Styvel

A slightly more refined table by Camaret harbour, with Breton cooking built around fish, seafood and the season’s catch.

Miesmuscheln im Café du Port in Le Fret
LE FRET

Café du Port

Simple, honest and popular with locals. One of our favourite places for fresh fish: unfussy, generous and very good.

Fischgericht bei La Flambée in Morgat
MORGAT

La Flambée

Hearty food in the heart of Morgat — relaxed, generous and exactly what you want after a day on the beach or the coastal paths.

Austern, Lachs und Weißwein bei Chez Iodette
A TRUE HIDDEN GEM · SEASONAL

Chez Iodette

A genuine little local secret: a seasonal stand, usually from April to September, serving fresh oysters, salmon and wine with the sea stretching out in front of you.

MORGAT
BRETAGNE

Sometimes all you need
is a little
sea & time.

Spring: fresh fish and quiet paths.

Summer: the bay, the garden and swimming.

Autumn: mushroom picking and warm light.

Winter: the stove and the wind.
